Andrew Newsome joined Maxim as an investment professional in January 2026, bringing M&A, and operating experience across the lower middle market.
Prior to joining Maxim, Andrew served as Director of M&A at MAP Lab, where he helped business owners, searchers, and emerging investors pursue acquisitions, raise capital, and execute growth strategies. Before MAP Lab, Andrew was an investment professional at ScaleCo Capital, where he led deal execution and diligence efforts across distribution and tech-enabled services businesses. He also served as Vice President of Innoplast, a ScaleCo portfolio company, where he supported day-to-day operations across multiple business units.
Earlier in his career, Andrew served as Chief of Staff to the COO of Flynn Group, supporting acquisition integration and value creation initiatives across a large multi-unit operating platform, and began his career as a management consultant at ZS Associates.
Originally from Seattle, Andrew holds a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and has been recognized by Crain’s 20 in their 20s and Forbes 30 Under 30 for his work in Private Equity
