Ayush Gupta joined Maxim Partners as an MBA Associate, bringing private equity deal execution, portfolio operations, and consulting experience to the team.
Most recently, Ayush worked at Everstone Capital, an $8B AUM Southeast Asia-focused private equity fund, where he supported a $105M industrial manufacturer buyout and spearheaded diligence on a $220M auto components transaction. Earlier in his career, he held an investment role at Warburg’s BPO investment arm, driving standalone investments and tuck-ins ranging from $20M – $550M. He also advised the portfolio company, Arise, on growth, AI-first go-to-market strategy, and cross-functional operational transformation.
Ayush is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, concentrating in Finance, Strategic Management, and Behavioral Science. He earned his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, having placed in the top 1% among 1.5 million applicants. Outside of work, Ayush enjoys playing tennis, reading philosophy, exploring different cuisines, and pursuing various philanthropic initiatives.
