Karan Arora joined Maxim Partners as an MBA Associate, bringing due diligence, financial modeling, and strategy experience to the team.
Most recently, Karan worked as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Citigroup on the Mergers & Acquisitions team, where he supported transactions across multiple industries. Prior to that, he was a Senior Manager of Strategy & Innovation at Dine Brands Global (IHOP, Applebee’s, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop) in the Office of the CEO, focusing on M&A, licensing, and long-term strategic planning initiatives. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at Accenture, advising Fortune 500 clients on strategy and transformation projects.
Karan is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, concentrating in Finance and Strategic Management. He also serves as a Wellness Fellow, helping design wellbeing programming for more than 1,200 full-time MBA students, and is the Co-Chair of the Racquets Club. Karan earned his B.A. in International Business from the University of California, San Diego. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Chicago’s food scene, exercising, and listening to podcasts.
